Best Tokenized Stock Platforms in 2026: 10 Ways to Trade US Stocks With Crypto

By Marcus Yeo · Published 2026-07-09 · Updated 2026-07-13 · Independent review — not affiliated with any exchange

Bottom line

Kraken's xStocks is the best tokenized stock platform for most non-US traders in 2026, with 131 assets and a year of live trading across four chains. Pick Ondo Global Markets if you want the largest asset-backed catalog and MEXC RealStocks if you want real share ownership; BYDFi covers leveraged price exposure only. No tokenized stock product currently serves US retail.

Every major crypto exchange spent the past year launching some way to trade US stocks with crypto, and the results are wildly uneven. Some products are genuine 1:1 asset-backed tokens with real shares in custody. Robinhood’s version is legally a derivative on its own book. A few are perpetual futures that give you price exposure and nothing else. The on-chain tokenized stock market has grown to roughly $1.85 billion per rwa.xyz, up from about $379 million a year earlier, so the category is real. Buying the wrong product class remains the most common mistake I see traders make.

I’ve spent time on most of these platforms this year. This guide compares the ten that matter as of July 2026; if you’re new to how these instruments work, start with our tokenized stocks explainer. One thing up front: not a single product below is open to US retail.

Kraken xStocks: the default choice

Kraken carries xStocks, tokenized equities issued by Backed Assets (JE) Limited, a bankruptcy-remote SPV registered with the Jersey FSC. Each token is backed 1:1 by the underlying share, custodied at Alpaca Securities LLC, a FINRA-regulated, SIPC-member broker. The catalog hit 131 assets by July 2026 (100 stocks, 27 ETFs, 4 specialist assets), with 500+ targeted by year end.

Base trading runs 24/5. Ten flagship tickers, including TSLAx, NVDAx, SPYx, and AAPLx, trade around the clock on Kraken Pro, and anything withdrawn on-chain to Solana, Ethereum, TON, or Ink becomes 24/7 by nature. Instant buys with USDG or USD carry no trading fee, the Pro orderbook pays a 2 bps maker rebate against a 10 bps taker fee, and the fixed 1% xStocks conversion fee is the one to watch. Dividends never arrive as cash; they auto-reinvest through on-chain rebasing.

Kraken keeps building on top: tokenized-equity perpetuals up to 20x launched in February 2026, tokenized SpaceX access followed in June, and the ecosystem has cleared $25 billion in cumulative volume since the June 2025 launch. My verdict: the most complete tokenized stock product live today, provided you’re outside the US, Canada, UK, and Australia, all excluded.

Binance bStocks: five tickers, enormous distribution

Binance arrived late but heavy. bStocks (that name is official, not “bTokens”) were admitted to trading on June 11-12, 2026, issued by BTech Holdings Limited, a Binance group affiliate, under an approved prospectus in Abu Dhabi’s ADGM. Each token is 1:1 backed by a share held with a regulated custodian, and converting between bStocks and the underlying equity is free.

The launch catalog is tiny: Circle, Micron, Nvidia, SanDisk, and Tesla against USDT, with a SpaceX token planned once that company’s Nasdaq listing happens. Tokens live on BNB Chain, trade 24/7, support fractional buys from about $5, and handle dividends through a multiplier that reinvests at net value on the ex-date. Distribution is the real story: Binance’s stock products crossed $1 billion in AUM within roughly a month.

My verdict: credible structure, genuinely unique zero-fee share conversion, but five tickers is a preview, not a platform. I’ve written a full bStocks vs xStocks head-to-head if you’re deciding between the two.

Robinhood stock tokens: the EU-only outlier

Robinhood’s Stock Tokens, announced June 30, 2025 for EU and EEA customers, are the odd product out. Legally they are derivatives under MiFID II that track US stock and ETF prices; you hold a contract with a Robinhood entity, not a claim on a custodied share. That structure is exactly why the catalog scaled past 2,000 Classic Stock Tokens by mid-2026, the widest selection here short of MEXC.

The experience is very Robinhood: commission-free, a 0.1% FX fee per order, entry from €1, and 24/5 hours. Classic Stock Tokens actually pass dividends through as cash, which almost nothing else here does, and settlement is moving from Arbitrum to Robinhood Chain, the company’s own L2 that reached public mainnet on July 1, 2026. My verdict: the cleanest option for EU users who just want exposure and accept that the counterparty is Robinhood itself.

Ondo Global Markets: the biggest asset-backed catalog

Ondo is an issuer rather than an exchange, and it has quietly built the largest tokenized-equity catalog anywhere: 430+ US stocks and ETFs across Ethereum, Solana, and BNB Chain after adding 173 assets in a single June 2026 expansion. Every token is fully backed by securities held at licensed US broker-dealers, with daily attestations from Ankura Trust Company, and minting or redemption against stablecoins works instantly, 24/7.

Dividends auto-reinvest net of withholding, and holders get no voting rights, which is standard for the category. Ondo pairs trade on Gate and MEXC, and Ondo Perps launched in June 2026 for anyone wanting leverage on the same names. My verdict: the best choice for DeFi-native traders who value breadth with independent attestation, remembering that buying through an exchange layers that venue’s own terms on top.

MEXC RealStocks: actual shares, settled in USDT

MEXC took a different lane. RealStocks, launched June 1, 2026, is trading of actual NYSE and Nasdaq-listed stocks settled in USDT, with real equity interest, dividend entitlement, and zero commission across more than 7,000 US stocks and ETFs. That is categorically different from a token; it is closer to a brokerage account funded with stablecoins.

MEXC also lists Backed xStocks pairs and Ondo pairs, and added nine tokenized AI stocks in July 2026, so three product classes sit on one venue. Check which you’re actually buying before you click. My verdict: the largest genuine-share catalog of any crypto platform, with the counterparty caveats covered in our MEXC review. US persons are excluded, as everywhere else.

BYDFi stock perpetuals: exposure, not ownership

BYDFi doesn’t offer tokenized stocks at all, and it’s worth being precise about that. Per third-party coverage from June 2026, the platform runs USDT-settled perpetual futures on US equities including Apple, Amazon, Tesla, Microsoft, AMD, and Coinbase stock, plus gold and forex, trading 24/7 with no brokerage account required.

These contracts confer price exposure only: no equity ownership, and no dividends. BYDFi’s own homepage showed no stock products when I checked in mid-July 2026, so listing details rest on third-party reporting. My verdict: a reasonable tool if leveraged, crypto-settled price exposure is specifically what you want; our BYDFi review covers the platform more broadly. It is not a place to build a stock portfolio.

The rest: Bybit, Coinbase, Backpack, Gate

Bybit lists the same Backed xStocks against USDT, markets them as 24/7, and requires full identity verification; it hasn’t published a current pair count. It added tokenized SpaceX exposure in June 2026 and separately runs MT5-based US stock CFDs, which are derivatives, not tokens.

Coinbase announced 1:1-backed tokenized US stocks for eligible non-US users on June 16, 2026, built on Base, with automatic on-chain dividends and an initial lineup including Nvidia, Alphabet, and SpaceX. No live date exists yet, and its request for SEC relief to serve US customers remains ungranted. Announced is not launched.

Backpack opened a 24/7 market for real US equities on July 10, 2026 with SpaceX, Micron, and SanDisk on Solana, stating that buyers own the underlying securities with tokens convertible 1:1 into shares. Its SpaceX token has drawn over 10,000 holders and $350 million in volume, but fee and KYC details aren’t published yet, so size positions cautiously.

Gate runs an xStocks zone with 8 Backed pairs and, since July 3, 2026, its own gStocks: 15 pairs at launch, 1:1 collateralized by real stock reserves, 24/7 trading, dividends credited automatically, entry from 1 USDT, and usable as loan collateral.

Which platform for which trader

How these venues rank overall is a separate question, covered in our exchange rankings.

The geo-restriction reality check

Every product in this guide excludes US retail. That isn’t platform timidity; it’s the current law. In January 2026, three SEC divisions jointly affirmed that tokenized securities remain fully subject to securities laws, the proposed innovation exemption was delayed past its expected May 2026 date, and the CLARITY Act is stalled in the Senate. The only genuine US-side motion is institutional: the SEC approved Nasdaq’s tokenized-equity trading rules in March 2026 and NYSE’s in April, and DTCC’s production pilot with more than 50 institutions began in July.

Restrictions go beyond the US, too. Kraken’s xStocks also exclude Canada, the UK, and Australia; Bybit blocks Singapore, Hong Kong, and mainland China among others; Robinhood’s tokens exist only for the EU/EEA. In Europe, MiCA’s transitional period ended July 1, 2026, and tokens qualifying as transferable securities fall under MiFID II rather than MiCA. Check eligibility on the official page before funding anything, because marketing pages rarely lead with the exclusion list.

The risk line

Whatever you pick, the same risks apply across the board. Token holders have no SIPC protection even where the underlying custodian is a SIPC member. Depegs are documented, not theoretical: an Apple token traded 12% above the underlying intraday in July 2025, and an Amazon token briefly hit roughly four times its reference price in thin off-hours books. Weekend on-chain liquidity falls to 30% or less of weekday levels. These products are useful, but they are young instruments and deserve to be sized that way.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best tokenized stock platform overall in 2026?

Kraken's xStocks is the strongest all-round product: 131 tokenized stocks and ETFs backed 1:1 by shares custodied at a FINRA-regulated broker, a year of live trading, over $25 billion in cumulative volume, and withdrawals to Solana, Ethereum, TON, and Ink. If catalog size matters more than the venue, Ondo Global Markets offers 430+ assets, and MEXC RealStocks covers 7,000+ actual US stocks settled in USDT.

Can Americans use any tokenized stock platform?

No. As of July 2026, no crypto exchange may sell tokenized US equities to US retail, and every product in this guide explicitly excludes US persons. The SEC's January 2026 staff statement confirmed tokenized securities remain fully subject to securities laws, and the proposed innovation exemption that would change this has been delayed. The only US-side activity is the institutional Nasdaq/NYSE/DTCC tokenization pilot. Americans who want US stocks should use a regular brokerage.

Which tokenized stock platform has the cheapest fees?

Kraken is hard to beat: instant buys with USDG or USD carry no trading fee, and the Pro orderbook pays a 2 bps maker rebate against a 10 bps taker fee, though converting xStocks costs a fixed 1%. Robinhood's EU tokens are commission-free with a 0.1% FX fee, MEXC RealStocks advertises zero commission, and Binance waives bStocks conversion fees entirely. On every platform, the spread during off-market hours is usually the real cost.

Which platforms sell real shares and which sell derivatives?

Three tiers exist. MEXC RealStocks, Backpack, and Binance's underlying stock product involve real equity interest, with Coinbase's announced product planned along the same lines. xStocks, bStocks, Gate's gStocks, and Ondo are 1:1 asset-backed tokens: fully collateralized, but legally a claim on the issuer rather than share registration. Robinhood's EU tokens are MiFID II derivatives, and BYDFi's stock products are perpetual futures with no backing at all.

Which tokenized stock platforms trade 24/7?

Binance bStocks, Gate gStocks, and Backpack run 24/7 outright, Ondo offers 24/7 instant minting and redemption, and Bybit markets its xStocks pairs as 24/7. Kraken's base product is 24/5, with ten flagship pairs like TSLAx and NVDAx trading 24/7 on Kraken Pro. Any token withdrawn on-chain trades around the clock by nature, but weekend on-chain volume drops to 30% or less of weekday levels, so expect wider spreads.

Do tokenized stocks pay dividends?

Not the way a broker does. xStocks, bStocks, and Ondo auto-reinvest dividends through rebasing or multiplier adjustments, so your balance grows but no cash arrives. Robinhood's EU Classic tokens pass dividends through as cash, Gate credits gStocks dividends to your account automatically, and MEXC RealStocks carries genuine dividend entitlement. Everything is paid net of withholding tax, and stock perpetuals on BYDFi or elsewhere pay nothing at all.

What is the safest way to trade US stocks with crypto?

None of these products gives token holders SIPC protection, so 'safest' is relative. The strongest structures are xStocks, with a bankruptcy-remote Jersey SPV and underlying shares at a SIPC-member custodian, and Ondo, with daily third-party attestations from Ankura Trust. Documented depeg episodes and thin weekend books remain risks everywhere. If you qualify for a traditional broker, that route is still safer than any tokenized alternative.
