Fact-Check Policy

Source hierarchy

Claims in our reviews and guides are anchored to sources in this order of preference:

  1. Official primary sources — an exchange's own fee schedule, help-center pages, official announcements and official YouTube tutorials. These are the only external destinations our articles link to.
  2. Public market data — aggregators such as CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko for volumes, listings and market-wide figures.
  3. Regulatory and legal records — licence registers, enforcement actions and court documents where relevant.

Social media claims, anonymous forum posts and other review sites are treated as leads to verify, never as sources to cite.

Verification workflow

Content passes automated structural and sourcing gates before publication (link whitelist to official sources, no unverifiable statistics), followed by editorial spot-checks. Reader-reported errors go to hello@themexc.com; confirmed issues are corrected on the live page.
